LAM Listserv

Sign Up for the LAM Patient/Family Listserv

The LAM Foundation provides the opportunity for LAM patients and their families to communicate with their counterparts worldwide through an electronic mailing list known as a listserv.. The listserv is an electronic link between LAM patients who choose to subscribe to the LAM listserv network. This service is an automatic group mailing through email, and when a subscriber types in one address, every subscriber receives the message.

The listserv is recommended for patients who would like to share daily thoughts, frustrations, and/or questions about LAM with others. Because email is so convenient, the listserv may be used anytime of the day or night, ignored when you are busy, retrieved for a late-night lonely spell, read and re-read as one desires. However, if at any point you find the listserv to be overwhelming, you may easily unsubscribe.

Most women with LAM find communicating on the listserv tremendously therapeutic, and often uplifting. When one LAM patient feels discouraged, another can lift her spirits. When one has a question, she can often get a dozen (usually different!) answers. The responses are honest, heartfelt and empathetic

LAM patients who have enrolled in this free service have experienced an amazing expansion of their world.  They have communicated with patients living everywhere from Alaska to Ohio to California to England, and even Norway. Topics range from our own special anecdotes to sharing jokes and personal feelings. As one LAM patient put it, "The listserv has been a very comforting way to have contact with women with LAM who understand the struggles and fears we all try to overcome at different levels every minute of every day."
